Brigg Town, nicknamed 'The Zebras', are well known for being one of the oldest clubs in the England, as well as being the oldest surviving club in Lincolnshire, having been formed in 1864.
Brigg became founder members of the Lincolnshire League in 1948 and in the next season the team won their first of eight league titles in a flourishing 25-year spell. It wasn't until 1976 when the club left the Lincs League after being elected to play in the Midlands Counties League.
Recent History
Brigg entered a reserve side in 1990, but only competed for two seasons, finishing fifteenth and third before leaving. They rejoined in the 2015/16 season, thirteen years later to finish fifth, followed by ninth and twelves placed finishes in the last two seasons.
After several difficult years in Division One of the Northern Counties East League, the club have now come down to step seven to play in the Lincolnshire League and are using this opportunity to rebuild the club to it's former past.
