Ruston Sports were formed and joined the Lincolnshire League in 1972. In 1998 the club changed their name to Alstom Sports, but just five years later reverted to their founding and current name, Ruston Sports.

The club has enjoyed many successful seasons in the league, and are twice champions. However, you do have to go back to the 88/89 season when they last achieved this. More recently their league finishes include three runners up finishes in 04/05, 07/08 and 08/09. The club can also boast silverware of four challenge cup's and two supplementary cups, as well as the Senior B Cup triump in their double winning season of 88/89.
