Weekend Round Up: Gameweek 30

By Lincs League

Round up from the weekends action in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League.

Wins for Gainsborough Trinity Reserves and Louth Town sees movement at both the top and the bottom of the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League.

Ruston Sports and Horncastle Town played out a 1-1 draw, whilst Lincoln Moorlands edged out Brigg Town to book their spot in the Supplementary Cup Final. The game between Cleethorpes Town Reserves and Lincoln United Development squad was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

League:

Cleethorpes Town Reserves P-P Lincoln United Development

Gainsborough Trinity Reserves 2-1 Nettleham

A Zach Casburn brace took his tally for the season up to eighteen and his side back to the top of the standings in a 2-1 victory over Nettleham at The Northolme. Adam Croft scored for the visitors, who have now won just one of their previous six games. Trinity move a point clear of Lincoln Moorlands.

Louth Town 2-1 Immingham Town

Frazer Chapman's double fired his side to back to back victories for the first time since November as his side narrowly beat Immingham Town by two goals to one at their Marshlands ground. The three points moves The White Wolves off bottom spot on goal difference. Callum Day scored for The Pilgrims, but it wasn't enough for his side who are yet to taste victory in 2019.

Ruston Sports 1-1 Horncastle Town

Ruston Sports aren't going to be able to retain their title this season, but could still achieve a very respectable top four finish. A 1-1 draw probably won't be enough if they are to do that, however, and that's what they had to settle for at home to Horncastle Town who have suffered a dip in form going into the end part of the season. Richard Jackson gave The Wongers the lead but a late Scott Nicholson goal saw the two teams take a point each.

Supplementary Cup:

Brigg Town CIC 1-2 Lincoln Moorlands Railway

These two sides played out a thrilling three all draw just a fortnight ago in the league, and it was another entertaining encounter as The Zebras and The Moors looked to book their place in the Supplementary Cup Final. Sean Cann opened the scoring, before Reece Moody leveled things. The visitors were reduced to ten men, but Robbie Smith found a late winner to keep his sides hopes of a league and cup double very much alive.
