February Team of the Month

After the disappointment of just missing out on a place in this years Lincs Junior Cup final, Wyberton bounced back with two big performances to earn their first team of the month award of the season.

On the Saturday 16th, Joe Greswell's squad sought revenge on Brigg Town after their 3-2 defeat in the county cup the week earlier, and they certainly put the record straight with an impressive 3-0 home win. Nathan Wright's first half double gave the Colts a 2-0 half time lead, and Jason Wade's goal on the hour mark put the game beyond the visitors who tasted defeat in the league for just the second time.

With confidence high Wyberton followed this up with a 2-1 away victory against Gainsborough Trinity Reserves to book their place in the Supplementary Cup Final. Craig Parker found the net on this occasion along with the inform Nathan Wright who was also on target.
