Statement from the Management Committee of the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League
After seeking advice from the Lincolnshire FA Rules Chairman, the Management Committee of the League has agreed to rescind its decision to play the game between Grimsby Borough Academy and Ruston Sports.
Following that advice the League has ruled that in view of all the circumstances around this fixture, the points should be awarded to Ruston Sports, who should be declared League Champions.
The committee has also agreed that due to the exceptional circumstances in this case it would be inappropriate to fine Grimsby Borough Academy for any default.
Arrangements will now be made to present the trophy to Ruston Sports.
